Bath and Brush Specials

Bath and Brush Specials

For those clients who like their dogs groomed more often than every 6-8 weeks, we offer a bath and brush special for about half the price of a full haircut*. This service includes a bath, sanitary trim, toenails, ears, anal glands and trimming of the face and feet. This gives your pet a fresh trimmed look, without the expense of a full haircut.

*Please note: This pricing does not apply to double coated breeds.

Difficult Dogs

Please warn us if you think your dog may bite. Also let us know if your dog has been asked not to come back to a previous groomer. This will help us work with your dog in a manner that is safe for us and your pet. There are additional charges if your pet is difficult to work with.

Walk-In Services

Walk-In Services

We offer a few services on a walk-in basis. You may come in anytime the salon is open for toenail trims, anal gland expression, ear cleaning or face trims. These services are $15 each and may need to be done more often than when your pet is groomed. Nails can be trimmed as often as once a month. Please keep in mind that little dogs do not have enough weight to wear their nails down as readily as larger dogs.

Grooming Your Cat

Grooming Your Cat

We also provide grooming for cats. We do not have to shave cats that are not matted. We are currently not accepting any new cats for grooming. Many people take advantage of our Clipper Vac System, which allows us to leave the hair ½" to 1" long. This makes maintenance much easier and cuts down on the shedding. Cats also look darling in lion trims! Please allow 2 hours as we do bathe them. Also, if you are bringing your cat in a carrier, please put a towel or other absorbent material in their kennel.

We also suggest that cats get groomed three or four times a year to avoid excessive matting. If your cat is matted or difficult to handle, there will be extra charges.

Special Assistance

Special Assistance

If you are a senior citizen or have special needs, we will be more than happy to get your pet from your car. Call us from your cellphone or call ahead and we will watch for you. Please feel free to park right in front of the door if you have difficulty walking or if you are afraid of slipping on ice in the winter. They do not ticket people here.

Skunk Baths

We do bathe dogs that have been sprayed by skunks. We have found that the Dawn dish-washing liquid, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda formula works as well as anything on the market.

Skunk Formula:

  • 1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon Dawn

Mix this up in an empty bottle of some sort and saturate the dog. Pay close attention to the head and face as this is where they normally get sprayed. Be careful to not get it into the eyes. Leave on for 10 minutes and rinse well. This alleviates most of the skunk odor. There is nothing on the market that will remove the smell completely. Also, you will smell skunk every time your dog gets wet or damp for months.
